July 2020 Update

Masks have become part of our usual routine now, I like these Buff ones.

Hi all,

We’re reaching out to keep you updated on what’s going on here at Cardiff Bungalows. You may have heard that the state of California has begun to reinforce some closures following a rise in COVID-19 cases across many counties…

We’re happy to share, though, that these closures are not being implemented in San Diego County. The number of cases here in the greater San Diego area has not grown at the same concerning rate as that of 19 other California counties that are experiencing closures.

If you take a walk down the coast here in our sleepy beach town, you’ll see that our community is still taking things seriously—wearing face masks and keeping 6 ft distance from others whenever possible.

So long as we all continue to do our part in acting responsibly, we’re optimistic that things will stay up and running here in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, and we’ll continue to be able to (safely) enjoy our beaches and supporting our local businesses.

Just down the street from our Bungalows in downtown Encinitas, one traffic lane on either side of the 101 has been closed to traffic, allowing for more space for outdoor seating and for merchants to operate.

As we continue to learn more about this virus, professionals are confident that being in areas with good airflow, like outside, significantly reduce the risk of COVID-19, and as such outdoor dining is encouraged over indoor dining. Lucky for us, our SoCal sun and salty ocean breeze make outdoor dining ideal anyways!

As always, should we learn of any significant changes to our rules, regulations, and suggestions, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

Stay safe and we hope to see you soon!

– Stacy & Keith
